This story follows the experiences of Buddy when he joins other children in a grief group. He learns that it feels good to share his feelings concerning the death of his granddad and that it hurts when he holds his feelings inside. The children share their individual stories and learn to accept all their feelings as okay. The members of the group discuss the nature of death and examine the differences between death and sleep. The children begin to accept life and death as natural processes. The story is accompanied by questions to stimulate discussion of important issues.
